When you are attempting to activate your new PC with the new Microsoft Operating system Windows 8, you may get the Windows 8 error 0xC004F074 like the following message: ERROR CODE: 0xC004F074 ERROR DESCRIPTION: The software licensing service reported the product could not be activated, no key management service (KMS) could not be contacted.
